The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attaches great importance to the development of the secondary aluminum industry, strengthens management in terms of policies, technologies, standards, etc., and promotes the high-quality development of the industry.

The next step is to vigorously promote the high-quality development of the secondary aluminum industry from three aspects:

The first is to further strengthen the standard management of the industry. Research and formulate the standard conditions for the scrap copper and aluminum processing industry, cultivate a group of key enterprises, and promote the standard development of the industry. Encourage large-scale aluminum smelting enterprises and waste aluminum processing enterprises to jointly build recycling-sorting-processing-distribution integrated green recycled aluminum processing and distribution centers that meet industry standards, and strive to improve industry concentration. Research and formulate guidelines for the construction of a carbon peaking standard system in the industrial field, and include standards such as recycled aluminum products, carbon accounting, and carbon footprints to provide a basis for developing the recycled aluminum industry and helping to achieve the dual-carbon goal.

The second is to further promote the construction of comprehensive utilization bases of industrial resources. Summarize the construction experience of bases featuring the recycling and utilization of renewable resources such as Fengcheng in Jiangxi and Wuzhou in Guangxi, condense the development model, focus on the agglomeration area of recycled aluminum industry, etc., and build a batch of industrial resource comprehensive utilization bases, give play to regional advantages, and build a complete recycled aluminum. On the basis of the industrial chain, further strengthen and supplement the chain such as refined sorting and standardized distribution. Our department will continue to intensify our work, cultivate a group of "specialized, refined and new" small giant enterprises in recycled aluminum, further enhance the innovation ability of enterprises, actively develop new materials and new products, and guide recycled aluminum enterprises to high-end products and intelligent equipment. transformation.

The third is to focus on improving the ability of industrial development. Accelerate the formulation and release of the Implementation Plan for Carbon Peaking in the Nonferrous Metals Industry, further strengthen industry standard management, and actively support the construction of secondary aluminum projects that comply with industrial policies. In conjunction with the Ministry of Science and Technology, we will jointly carry out major scientific and technological research and development projects for circular economy, and study key technical equipment for high-value recycling of waste aluminum. The catalogue of advanced technology and equipment for comprehensive utilization of industrial resources shall be updated and released in a timely manner, the promotion and application of technical equipment such as high-value utilization of recycled aluminum and intelligent control shall be accelerated, and efforts shall be made to improve the development level of the secondary aluminum industry.
